Artspace Mackay holds one of the most comprehensive collections of Artist's Books in Australia, something we are very proud of. To celebrate Artspace Mackay has held three Artists’ Book Forums. Focus on Artists’ Books I, II and III have been incredibly successful conferences. The last forum, included an International conference, an exhibition by Melbourne artists Angela Cavilieri and the exhibition of the 1st Australian Artists' Books Prize, The Libris Awards.

Following the success of the first three forums, Artspace Mackay will hold a series of biennial Australian Artists' Books Forums to coincide with the Libris Awards. Forums will include exhibitions and events to stimulate critical dialogue about artists' books and the book arts in Australia, providing professional development opportunities for artists working in the field and generating broader awareness of the artform within our region and internationally.
