Getting to Mackay

Mackay is centrally located on the North Queensland coast between Rockhampton and Townsville. It is the major regional centre for an area that encompasses Airlie Beach, the Pioneer Valley, Proserpine, Bowen, Sarina, Clermont, Marian, the Whitsunday Islands and Nebo.

By Air:

Mackay is serviced by daily flights from QANTASVirgin Blue and Jet Star .

Direct flights from Brisbane, Rockhampton, Townsville and Sydney connect to Mackay Airport.

By Rail:

Queensland Rail travel to Mackay includes the new Tilt Train service.

By Road:

The Bruce Highway passes through Mackay (follow the signs to Artspace Mackay and the City Centre).
Bus and coaches drop passengers off within walking distance of Artspace Mackay at the Transit Centre on the corner of MacAlister and Victoria Streets near the centre of Mackay.
Bus and car parking is available for Artspace Mackay visitors on Gordon Street.
