Shaping Mackay Shaping Mackay

The former Town Hall at 63 Sydney Street was constructed in 1912, as the centre of administration for the Mackay Town Council. The building served in this role until the construction of the Mackay Civic Centre in Gordon Street in 1975. It was refurbished in 2001 with support from the Queensland Heritage Trails Network.

The Mackay Town Hall at 63 Sydney Street currently houses:

  • The About Mackay Exhibition
  • Tourism Mackay Visitor Information Centre
  • Shaping Mackay City Central Project
  • Artspace Mackay Studio Space

Bookings for functions, displays and events at Town hall should be directed to Artspace Mackay.
