Artspace Mackay holds one of the most comprehensive collections of artists books in Australia; the largest regional collection in the country. The Focus on Artists Books conferences were developed to complement and celebrate this great achievement and the success of five previous artists' book forums insures the continuation of future artists books events. Preparations are now underway for the sixth Focus on Artists' Books program, to be held in September 2012.

Artspace Mackay has decided to move its Focus on Artists Books program of events, including the Libris Awards, to 2013. The new dates, yet to be confirmed, will coincide with Artspace Mackay’s 10th anniversary celebrations. The gallery is looking forward to presenting an exciting program of activities and events, and to making the Libris Awards bigger and better in 2013.
