Photo artist creates botanical works in Mackay

In 2016 Artspace Mackay and Mackay Regional Botanic Gardens came together to host Brisbane photo artist Man Cheung through the gallery’s Artist in Residence program.

Based at the Botanic Gardens, Man spent two weeks photographing flowers unique to the region and worked alongside local amateur horticulturalists to highlight the beauty and importance of Mackay’s native flora. Join artist photographer Man Cheung at the gallery for insight into his residency and the work that it inspired.
