Foundation Gallery Exhibition Program
Applications for exhibition proposals for 2029–2030 are open 25 September to 25 October 2026.
The Foundation Gallery is one of three contemporary gallery spaces at Artspace, Mackay’s Regional Art Gallery. The Foundation Gallery Exhibition Program is an opportunity for artists, curators, and collectives to submit proposals for developed concepts that highlight new work of relevance to the region.
Selected proposals receive a $3,000 exhibition fee and professional support from gallery staff.
Priority is given to proposals that:
> Promote innovation, diversity & quality in visual arts practice > Include new/previously unseen work, of relevance to the region > Demonstrate a high level of conceptual awareness > Present a coherent body of work > Are presented in a professional manner and exhibit a high level of competency > Include images of artworks of a high standard
2026 key dates:Application round open: 25 September to 25 October Applicants notified of outcome: Monday 30 November
