Simone Eisler: How does your garden grow?

Simone Eisler is a Sunshine Coast based artist whose sculptural, public art and multimedia practice encompasses the concept of transformation in nature and human society. Her themes of garden, species evolution and family history represent change. How Does Your Garden Grow? focuses on her personal family history here in Mackay. The stained-glass design of her ancestor’s store windows in Sydney Street transforms the light boxes into portals of the past where insects, birds, leaves and flowers carry the maps and people of other places.
