Tertiary Artists’ Book Prize

Finalists announcement

Artspace Mackay is delighted to announce and congratulate the finalists for the Tertiary Artists' Book Prize.

These seven tertiary students will receive a $750 non-acquisitive artwork commission fee to create a new artist's book for the 2025 Libris Awards and vie for the $3,000 acquisitive 2025 Libris Awards: Tertiary Artists’ Book Prize:

Key Dates

  • Monday 25 March 2024 – Selected artists/tertiary students notified, and new artwork commission agreements issued.
  • Friday 19 April 2024 – signed new artwork commission agreements and invoice for 50% stage 1 payment delivered/due to Artspace Mackay.
  • Friday 17 May 2024 – 50% stage 1 new artwork commission payment to selected artists/tertiary students.
  • Friday 16 May 2025 – completed artist’s books and invoice for 50% stage 2 payment delivered/due to Artspace Mackay.
  • Saturday 5 July – Sunday 14 September 2025 – 2025 Libris Awards exhibition dates
  • 6pm, Saturday 5 July 2025 – 2025 Libris Awards opening event and announcement of winners.
  • Tuesday 16 - Friday 26 September 2025 – finalists’ works to be collected or returned to artists by post (except acquisitive award winners and those work acquired by Artspace Mackay).
