Visual Thinking Practice Sessions
What’s going on in this picture?.. There are no wrong answers when it comes to Visual Thinking Strategies delivery. VTS is about looking at art, considering what we see, then putting what we see into words. It’s not an art history lesson, it’s a method of teaching that empowers the learner, strengthening oral communication, visual literacy and creative and analytical skills. Whether you’re an experienced educator, or just someone with a love of art, language and social interaction, our VTS practise sessions are for you! You can begin by simply participating as an audience member, and over time, you might like to join the rest of us as we practise delivering VTS sessions ourselves. It’s challenging, empowering and extremely enjoyable. Come along and try it, it’s free - but let us know you’re coming so we have a chair for you.
Regular practise delivery sessions are held at 3:30pm (for a 3:45pm start) to 5pm on the LAST Thursday every month, Artspace Mackay, Civic Precinct, Gordon St.
