Something big is happening at Artspace Mackay

In Bed by Ron Mueck, a London-based hyper-realist sculptor is the biggest thing to happen to Artspace Mackay in quite some time. Measuring an astounding 6.5 metres in length, In Bed, on tour from the Queensland Art Gallery Collection, is expected to bring cultural visitors to the gallery from not only the Mackay region, but many of it's surrounding towns and cities.

G.W. Bot Workshop

After GW. Bot delivers a floor talk on her retrospective exhibition The long paddock (11am Sat 26 May at Artspace Mackay) spanning an incredible art and printmaking career of 30 years, Artspace is delighted to announce that she will deliver an afternoon drawing workshop at Mackay Town Hall from 1pm - 4pm.

Kids Art Club

Kids Art Club with Rosemary Payne starts this Saturday May 12 at Artspace Mackay, this exciting six week program runs until June 16. Each week the kids will explore and respond to the exhibitions on show through fun-filled, exhibition-related art activities.

Toddlers and their parents are invited to Artspace Mackay’s free creative toddler program, BMA Kidspace which will begin another colourful year for 2012 on Tuesday, March 6.
