Blueprint 2.0

What and where is Blueprint 2.0?

Blueprint gallery has relocated from Foodspace to an external wall in 2nd Lane, next to Hibiki Bar and Karaoke in Mackay City Heart. Blueprint 2.0 is an exciting, outdoor, digital art exhibition opportunity featuring five prints a three-month period.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for original and imaginative entries, created using any digital medium. There is no set theme, so let your creative imagination run wild! Submissions must be the original work of the artist, completed in the 24 months prior to the entry closing date. Take a look at Blueprint exhibitions throughout 2022 to see how other local artists approached this fantastic exhibition opportunity by visiting www.artspacemackay.com.au

Who can enter?

Anyone 15+ who lives in the Mackay region (see website to check if you eligible) and would like to showcase their art for an artist’s fee of $1000! You don’t need to be an established artist, you could be an emerging artist, student, or just someone with a love of art and a creative flair.

What do I need to do?

Create five digital art pieces, or one continuous art piece that spans five frames. Upload your series or single artwork with a title and name for each work.

Please note each original image you create MUST be high resolution and able to be printed at 300dpi at the size we require for display - 1130mm (width) x 950 mm (height).

However, to enter Blueprint 2.0, you’ll simply need to upload your image/s at a more manageable size that we can view clearly for selection purposes. If your work is selected, you’ll be contacted to provide your original high-resolution image/s for high quality printing.

Lastly, write a few sentences about what inspires you and the works you’ve created, then complete the Blueprint 2.0 application form.

What’s in it for me?

The aim of the exhibition is to promote and showcase the diverse range of young and emerging visual artists who live in our Mackay region. This opportunity will give your work great exposure and help shape your creative career - you also get paid $1000 to participate.

When do I need to enter by?

The opportunity opens 11 August and closes 13 October 2023.

Please read the terms and conditions before you fill out the form.
